The Wadlata Outback Centre is a well-known tourist destination and authorized Port Augusta Visitor Information Center. Here, guests may learn about the region via the Tunnel of Time exhibit, which offers a self-guided walk-through time for exploration.
Arid Lands Botanic Gardens
Arid Lands Botanic Gardens, situated on the Upper Spencer Gulf coast offers breathtaking views of the historic Flinders Ranges and is a beautiful location to discover amazing native plants. It's a short 5 minute drive from motel poinsettia and features a lovely café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, gift shop and information centre
Matthew Flinders Lookout
Accessed via a road at the Arid Lands centre, Flinders Lookout provides a nice view of the upper estuary, red clicks and the railway bridge. There is a short walking track along the cliff tops that provides a range of perspectives. Great place to stop for a picnic or to stretch your legs on a long journey.
Water Tower Lookout
Easily accessible attraction which comes with its own history, how pioneers accessed fresh water, and how this changed over time and population growth. Superb views, surrounded by nice parklands. 360-degree views provide a lot of contrast.
Pichi Richi Steam Train
Catch the historic steam train in Port Augusta and travel to Quorn on the old Ghan railway track, a fantastic local tourist attraction.
Wilpena Pound Information Centre and Restaurant

Curdnatta Artists' Platform Gallery is another place you might want to check out. It is operated by volunteer artists from the area and features excellent fabric art, pottery, paintings, and crafts. Each year, there are numerous groups shows as well as the chance to have solo exhibitions.
